This species has no visual indication of a bull's-eye pattern. UV reflectance of the outer petals is high, but the "traditional" marked centre area is confined to the stigma and pistils. Also, there are small UV marks at the apices of the petals, and the buds have low UV reflectance (a common trait to many flowers).
